Aaron Green-Mitchell, Social Studies Teacher

Aaron has a Master's degree in Education from Portland State University. This is his third year teaching social studies at Mt. Scott. Prior to joining the staff here he spent two years at another alternative school in Portland teaching a variety of subjects.

Aaron grew up in SE Portland and values the rich learning opportunities the community provides. His teaching is laden with cross-subject integration and opportunities for peer teaching. Aaron believes that each student can become an expert in any field they study if given the tools to do so.

Beyond his passion for teaching, Aaron is also an avid athlete. He participates in local soccer and football pickup games and is also a semiprofessional dodgeball player.
