Darlene Myers, Business Manager

Darlene started at Mt. Scott in 2004 as a temporary employee, and was convinced to stay after witnessing the staff’s commitment to making a positive difference in students’ lives. She began working part-time as an administrative assistant at the middle school facility and later moved to the high school facility and her current role of business manager for the organization.

Darlene is a tremendous support for everyone at Mt. Scott. She works with students, parents, staff and community members and helps manage the financial and business operations for the organization. Darlene previously worked with several types of businesses, including construction, medical and insurance, but returned to the non-profit industry because it fits her desire to be of service to the community.

Darlene’s interests include a love for the outdoors that is not limited to hiking, bike riding and camping, but extends to a deep interest in gardening as well. She and her husband have transformed their yard to a garden that now includes non-stop weeding. They recently biked on the “Rails to Trails” system in Idaho and backpacked in the Mt. St. Helens National Monument.
