Gayle Prentice Wood, Student Services/Library Coordinator

Gayle joined the Mt. Scott staff in 2007 as an administrative assistant, splitting her time between the middle school and high school programs. She is now the Student Services and Library Coordinator for both schools.

Gayle has a wealth of experience and skills that match well with the demands of her many responsibilities at Mt. Scott.  She previously held various positions including receptionist, legal secretary, legal assistant and paralegal.

Before joining Mt. Scott, Gayle assisted her husband in the management of their real estate construction business and, ultimately, to fulfill a long-time dream of extended world travel.  Her four months abroad three years ago broadened her perspective and, according to Gayle, “led me to seek a career change that would allow me to be a benefit to my community.”   Thankfully to the students and staff at Mt. Scott, Gayle elected to join the Mt. Scott team!

Gayle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Portland State University in 2002 and a library media assistant certificate from Portland Community College.
