Kristi Dotson has been teaching for 19 years. She attended University of Oregon where she earned her Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in education.
She taught English in Beaverton, general studies at Maclaren School for Boys, alternative education in Spokane, Washington, and Title I in Riverside, Washington. She has done graduate studies in English and Special Education at Portland State University and Whitworth College. Kristi loves teaching writing because she sees it as the basis for success in any other subject and in life. She also loves history and teaching job/life skills.
What she likes best about teaching in a learning center is the opportunity to teach in a way that meets each student's individual needs and building a feeling of community between teachers and students.
Kristi is married with two college-age children and a dog. Most of her spare time over the last few years has been spent helping out in her childrens' school and her church.
