A group of Mt. Scott High School students are participating each Wednesday in the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry's School To Work Program.
Julia Miller (Paleontology), Bill Godfrey (Chemistry), and Jeff Bridger (Computer Technology) participate in a combination of training sessions and hands-on experience on the museum floor, including developing their own science demo.
Students attending alternative schools can participate in the OMSI School to Work weekday option. Participants receive their training and volunteer during one school day per week, earning up to 120 hours of volunteer service.
The participating students receive the following OMSI benefits:
